Sr Director Analyst
Sarah Davies is a Research Director with Gartner's Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) team. Ms. Davies' research focus includes product, portfolio and program management, enterprise agility, business transformation and tools. She has over 20 years of experience in various Portfolio & Program Management and IT Leadership roles. This includes creating and leading Enterprise Program Management Offices (EPMOs) and PMOs, strategic relationship management, and guiding organizations through mission-critical digital business decisions and changes to improve enterprise agility. She has proven success in benefit and strategy realization as a Strategic Advisor to the world's largest specialized travel companies. Her recent achievement includes transforming complex global demand channels, business processes and systems to embrace digital capabilities, enabling transformation for the end-to-end customer life cycle and reducing operational costs significantly.
She brings more than 15 years of experience of sPM leadership, working with global change teams in Europe, North America and APAC.
She is responsible for achieving success in leading and implementing multiple digital teams, leading their evolution from project management to product management in adaptive agile frameworks.
She is also a thought leader, mentor and coach to program/project managers.
Previous experience
Prior to this, Ms. Davies was involved in guiding the executive board on the selection of strategic technologies enabling central initiatives to increase enterprise agility. She was also a part of evolving the role of PPM Leaders within the organization from domain level PMO through to enterprisewide portfolio management. She achieved global reduction in central costs while increasing productivity, managing three technology budgets over four years. She worked for the management of global change teams; championing leadership development and adoption of cloud-based collaboration tools.
