Lloyd Jones is a Senior Director Research working with utilities across electric, gas and water. Utility CIOs in partnership with CxO's must perform and transform. His research focus on IT/OT leverages technology to create business value through intelligent operations both above and behind the meter.

Mr. Jones has been engaged in utility engineering, system planning, information technology and corporate planning and industry structure for more than 30 years. Before joining Gartner in 2019, he worked as a consultant in enterprise asset management, covering systems and process. Previously Mr. Jones worked as an internal consultant developing line of business strategies in response to regulatory and market shifts, driving the adoption of energy as a service, enabled through a platform strategy that spanned smart meters to predictive command centers. Mr. Jones has extensive experience across IT leadership roles including enterprise architecture, project delivery, operations and analytics.
