Lisa Pierce is a Research Vice President providing coverage on Network as a Service (NaaS), U.S. broadband infrastructure and remote work connectivity, managed WAN, LAN/WiFi and SD-WAN, NFV/uCPE, 4G/5G mobile and WAN services (US and European MPLS, Ethernet, Internet); public and private WAN-cloud connectivity (SDCI, cloud hubs); UCaaS and SIP trunks. During her tenure at Gartner, Ms. Pierce has served as the Managing Vice President of the Enterprise Network Systems and Services research team, and of the Enterprise UC, Network Systems and services team.
Prior to joining Gartner in 2011, Ms. Pierce was the founder and president of Strategic Networks Group. She has also held senior research leadership positions at Forrester Research and Giga Information Group, which included serving as the chair of Giga's Research Fellows and as a research leader of the company's telecommunications and network research practice. While at Giga/Forrester, she was named by industry watchers as a Top Ten IT Analyst twice. Prior experience includes extensive consulting on network signaling protocols. Her career in networks began at AT&T, where she led market research, large-scale simulation/forecasting efforts, R&D and product management initiatives that introduced entirely new classes of business services to the world. For this work, her team was awarded four patents. Across the globe, during their tenure these services generated approximately $100 billion dollars in revenue.
